The Backup Auxiliary Communications Network (BACN) was created by first responders with Metropolitan Emergency Medical Services (MEMS) to give Disaster Communication team members a chance to connect, share ideas, and enjoy some off-the-clock camaraderie. The club meets regularly to sharpen their skills and stay up to date.
BACN holds nets twice a month and invites all licensed amateur radio operators to check-in. Nets are held on 443.475 MHz using the KG5DPK repeater located on Shinall Mountain in West Little Rock.
